Konami at Gamescom have confirmed the next MGS…known as Metal Gear Survive. Metal Gear Survive is set after MGS V: Ground Zeroes. Motherbase soldiers who survived the attack from XOF are caught up in a bunch of wormholes, leading to an alternate timeline where they must survive against zombie-based enemies. The game is confirmed to be 4-player co-op with stealth elements and is due for Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2017. Here’s a fresh batch of screenshots:

No Big Boss or Miller to be found in the trailer other than them flying to safety during the XOF attack, but I wonder if they will make some sort of appearance since the timeline is all messed up? Who knows what Konami has planned for the series. One thing is certain…none of us expected this.
