Best Online Games So Far

Now we look at what the best online games are so far…

Call of Duty
It may not be everyone’s favourite title, especially since they have become very familiar year-on-year…but there’s no denying COD’s popularity online with millions playing everyday , getting kills and earning perks as well as working together to survive zombie and alien attacks.

The same story goes here, the more recent Battlefield games like 3, 4 and Hardline have proven to be just as popular as COD on the gaming battlefield. The debate between which is better wages with each installment and has no signs of being won anytime soon.

World of Warcraft

I had to mention this, right? It’s been out for 11 years and still shows on sign of slowing down with the most recent expansion being released last year and still has a total of 7.1 million players, it may not have the high subscription that it used to…but WoW is still one of the largest MMORPGs on the market and plenty of others have tried to take it’s crown and failed.

Online Poker

Card games have been a mainstay of PC gaming ever since the days of solitaire and hearts. Online poker is the king of card games, though, particularly as the best casino sites use incredible software and graphics. It feels almost as exciting as being in the casino while you’ll gain the social elements without losing out due to your terrible poker face. You can create your avatar, chat with other players, and enjoy the thrill of poker for enjoyment or money. From sit-and-go tournaments to tournaments, the options are endless. After over two decades of dedicated poker rooms and tables, the quality in the modern era is at an all-time high. Game on.

There’s no denying the Master Chief’s popularity either, the Halo series is one of Microsoft’s largest franchises and still has no sign of slowing down. Halo 5 releases this year and no doubt sticky grenades will be on the menu, as well as swords and probably the Flood.

It may appear to be the weirdest looking game there is, but there’s no doubting the imagination of gamers who have thoroughly recreated gaming levels using Minecraft’s tools as well as a Game of Thrones-style intro. The most notable vision of Minecraft was at Microsoft’s E3 2015 press conference where they showed off it being used as part of a HoloLens demo and showed the potential for the device and the future of the Minecraft series. Telltale Games have also announced an episodic series based in the Minecraft universe, so it looks like there’s no slowing down for the series.

It’s worth noting that not all popular online games are shooters, MMOs or games where you create. One of the most popular things to do online is play casino type games either for fun or to try and win cash. It can easily rival the other types of games in terms of numbers, there’s nothing quite like playing the slots, roulette or try your luck at Blackjack games.
