Today, Nintendo announced that the 3DS will launch in the US, the 3DS on 27th March and costs $249.99 (~£157). It will also launch earlier in Europe on the 25th March, but Nintendo wouldn’t give a price either in Euros or UK pounds. Stating that the price will be “decided by retailers”. Sounds like a cop out to me!
But since the event, HMV has the system on pre-order at £229.99, while Play.com has it for £219.99 time will tell if this is the official price or not. Still, seems that we in the UK are being screwed over once again when it comes to cost. 3DS is also to launch with 25 games, but no official line-up has been announced as of yet.
