Is this fishing game a good catch?

The world needs you Adventurer! Embark on an RPG pixel adventure where you’ll play as Baelin the humble fisherman, who must rise-up to become the hero of Honeywood. Battle fish with precision timing and magic spells, upgrade your abilities, defeat evil and rebuild Honeywood.

If you are a fan of VLDL then you’ll be familiar with the Epic NPC man series. Nice Day for Fishing is set in Honeywood and has the typical VLDL humour you would come to expect. It is an amusing RPG that leans on a fishing minigame for the duration of the game. The good news is that its actually a good one.

It has typical MMO cliches like backtracking and fetching certain numbers of items, which is to be expected from a game set in a fictional MMO world. The 2D pixels have a nice charm to them and while the experience isn’t the longest, I enjoyed my time in Honeywood. The soundtrack is impressive and I didn’t come across any glitches during my playthrough.

With charming 2D pixels, a soothing soundtrack and classic VLDL humour, you can’t go far wrong with this fishing RPG.
