Review: Darth Vader Cable Guys

Is the Force strong with this latest Cable Guy?

I’ve had a few Cable Guys over the years, most noticeably Sonic and Wonder Woman last year. But now I’ve had a chance to sample a Darth Vader one, so let’s get the official description out of the way….

Are you battling (the Rebel Alliance) to find a good spot to keep your console controllers and charge your smartphone? Well, word in the galaxy is that a certain Sith Lord finds your lack of space disturbing. He thinks you need this Darth Vader Cable Guy – the phone and controller holder with a dark side!

Modelled on the guy that’s almost head of the Galactic Empire, this Cable Guy takes the shape of Darth Vader. He has outstretched arms that’ll get a better grip on your tech goodies than a good old Force choke hold would. He’s perfectly moulded to fit both Xbox and PlayStation controllers!

Most cable guys will keep you waiting all day, traipse mud through your house, and mess up all your TV’s presets. But, this Darth Vader Cable Guy has bigger Jedi to fry. He’s just interested in upholding your controllers and phone, the same way he’s interested in upholding Imperial rule throughout the galaxy.

Now that’s done, let’s take a look at the Cable Guy itself. It’s a solid design, easily handles every type of controller or phone comfortably in Vader’s hands. It’s sturdy and doesn’t feel cheap, plus its very affordable. I was impressed with the overall quality of the model itself. I even used it to hold my darts during games.

The Verdict

Darth Vader is a great choice for a Cable Guys figure. It’s great quality, durable and affordable. A must for any Star Wars fan.
