Can Jesse break out of the Admin’s prison?
The second episode of Minecraft Story Mode’s second season left us with a twist that the Admin was in disguise along you all along, before banishing you to his prison construct. You get the option as Jesse to either stay a prisoner or work alongside the warden to reach the zombie mines via promotion where a potential ally awaits…
Prisoner X turns out to be yet another Admin, but this one staged a coup and lost her powers. Still, she proves to be a worthy addition. The gut-wrenching moments comes in the form of her escape which makes Jesse choose between two characters, one of which needs to remain behind in her cell to stop the explosives there from blowing up. I hope they do get freed sometime soon, but damn it was the toughest choice I’ve seen from the series so far.
The episode itself is a bit on the short side, but it does give us an insight into the Admin and how he can possibly be stopped, especially after he pulls a Face-Off moment and returns to Beacontown as Jesse in disguise. You can just imagine the havoc he’s going to unleash using Jesse’s identity, setting up yet another great climax for the episode and making the wait for Episode 4 seem that bit longer.
The Verdict
Episode 3 may be on the short side, but it does push the story forward and makes the Admin even more worthy of being Jesse’s adversary. Let’s hope the wait for Episode 4 isn’t too long…
