Nintendo Switch Review: Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics

51 games await, but just how fun are they?

Play and discover 51 board games, tabletop games, and more all in one package — Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics. This diverse collection includes games from all over the world across multiple genres, from familiar favourites like Chess to international hits like Mancala that have been around for 100s of years!

The past few months have been insane with the lockdown from Covid-19, but games have been a great way to pass the time and there couldn’t have been a better time for a collection of tabletop games to play either solo, with friends or even online. The only real question is just how good are the games in the collection?

The great thing about 51 Worldwide Classics is that there’s literally something for everyone like Yacht Dice (which is essentially Yahtzee), Darts, Billiards, Golf, Bowling, Chess, Backgammon, Blackjack and plenty of others in-between. You can either play the games docked with Joy-Cons or in handheld mode using either Joy-Cons or the Switch’s touchscreen with both options working just as well as the other.

The games are simplistic in their design but function as you would expect with Joy-Cons either functioning as standard controls or even motion controls for rolling dice, throwing darts and so on. My personal favourite games must be Yacht Dice and Billiards which I have been playing with my partner and it’s been great fun, especially for the time we are in right now.

The Verdict

Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics is a treasure trove of classic games for you to play with a great variety between them and there’s literally something for everyone with this package. It’s more or less essential for a Switch owner, especially right now.
