Another Dead Rising Story

Capcom have confirmed that the PAL version of Dead Rising, due out on September 8th, will remain untouched by the censors.

"Dead Rising's brilliant violence has been completely preserved for European audiences," a spokesperson told eurogamer. "No cuts have been made to the PAL version."

According to reports on various game blogs however, Japan will receive a censored version of the game when it is released later that month.

Now that's the story taken from VG-R homepage, reported by Kane. Now my personal thoughts....w00t! It is a shame though that Japan gets a censored version, kind of like how we felt when we find out Conker Live and Reloaded really was censored, alas the name change from "Live and Uncut".

In my other personal story, completely unrelated of course...I'm going through the Xbox 360 versions of GUN and Far Cry Instincts and GUN is awesome, short and nothing out of the ordinary but I love it, plus the achievements are hell easy to get at the moment. Far Cry on the other hand...well its lame. I hate how Ubi tried to make this sound like a total new game when it really is nothing more than a polished-up port with a few new modes.
